Choosing the Best Poker Room(s) to Promote
When you’re deciding what poker rooms to promote, there are a few key things you should take into consideration. The biggest part of this is what your traffic is looking for.
If you’re a site that is focused on poker strategy, and isn’t receiving many direct traffic hits for poker room terms, then I recommend that you start off by promoting a few of the biggest rooms, such as Poker Stars or Full Tilt Poker. The reason for this is because your traffic is general poker traffic, so they’ll respond best to the rooms that players have already chose to play at.
The best way to do this is as follows: If you have poker strategy articles related to Heads Up poker strategy, within the articles you should mention a poker site that has excellent heads up tournaments or cash tables. For example, you could add the following paragraph onto the end of your article:

As long as the article is solid strategy, your visitors will trust you enough to take your recommendation and at least check out the room, and hopefully end up playing there under you.
Now, if you decide to go with the poker variation route, and have for example, an Omaha Poker site, then this is how you should handle it. You should make a page on your site that gives a review of a great Omaha poker site, and tells why it’s the best for Omaha Poker. Then, on your site template, somewhere in an evident location, you should add a link saying something like “Click here to learn about the BEST poker site for Omaha poker”. Make sure this link sticks out, because this is where you’re going to make your money.
You can also add the link throughout your articles, by mentioning things like “If you really want to make a killing at Omaha Poker, check out Site XYZ (your affiliate link). If you want to know more about why this site is so great, read this review” (link to your page with the review).
Whatever rooms you decide to go with, make sure you get at least 25% MGR or at least a $100 CPA, because many rooms offer at least that much.
